Like the many unique neighborhoods that make up the great city of Pittsburgh, it is many unique people and personalities connected by a love of fine cigars that make up the BurghHerfers.

We come to the herfing table from various backgrounds, careers, families, ages, lifestyles and tax brackets, but none of that matters. It's the cigars, stupid. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, conversation and friendship among lovers of the leaf transcends all that. The more opinions the better. The more personalities the better.

The BurghHerfers gather informally whenever possible to smoke cigars and shoot the breeze. We try to herf as a group at least once a month, typically on a Saturday for lunch at various locations around Pittsburgh so that everyone has a chance to join in. Please join us. We welcome new faces and free cigars anytime.

Sadly, cigar-friendly establishments seem to be fading from the landscape. While it is not our original intent, perhaps, as a group, we can effect public policy and opinion on smoking preferences by making ourselves heard where and when appropriate.
